Today i got on with something i should have done a couple of weeks ago, but better late than never!
I'd already pressed record when i was watching the Kerrang Sky channel a week or so ago.
So i sat down with the remote at the ready and started watching. The first one threw me a bit. It was Mazuma mobile, and it was only 10 seconds long, and had 3 cuts in it. The main focus being a woman looking at an animated mobile phone character, dancing around on her laptop. This reminded me of something i figured out years ago, that ad companies always seem to make a standard length, and shot version of their ads. This was obviously the short version. I guess this is so, the companies that pay more money to the station, get more airtime.
The next was for Guide Dogs, which i wasn't sure id actually seen before, but then i do tend to channel hop when the ads are on. This one was surprisingly long at 1:10, and had 29 cuts. This ad focussed mainly on a labrador puppy, and then a small amount on said puppy being grown up and living with its blind owner. It would normally have been 1 minute long, but there was an added bit on the end to promote their Facebook page.

The next one was quite random! Belvia slimming shorts! This was the first of what i would assume is standard ad length at 30 seconds, with 10 cuts. It actually quite surprised me this ad, and its quite sensual, with women caressing themselves, and ample boob shots! Other than that, was a pretty un interesting ad, with standards shots of women looking oh-so-slim in their new shorts.

Blinkbox was up next, again 30 seconds with 10 cuts. This ad is much more interesting, with the main character being a blue fish in the family's fish tank, and he is complaining about how old the films they are watching are. He is saying how Blinkbox has far more options than Netflix, Lovefilm etc.

Last one was for National Accident Helpline. This one threw me as it had no cuts at all, and was only 10 seconds. It was obviously a short gap filler ad, and was based on the 'revolving door ad they do.
